Apsaras

What are Apsaras?

“Apsara” is the name given to nymphs in Hinduism. These are semi-divine beings worshiped in Hinduism, Buddhism and many other cultures and religions around the world. They are popularly recognized for their extreme beauty that no mortal is able to resist. In fact, Lord Indra, the king of the Apsaras, sent these nymphs in ancient times to seduce the great sages and saints, thus breaking their long and arduous penances.

Apsaras eternally enjoy divine youth and always look like 17 or 18 year old maidens. They are also experts in singing and dancing, like the Kinnaris, and spend most of their lives dancing and singing. They are kind and loving in nature. When someone fails them they simply leave and never return.

Hindu sacred scriptures say that 1008 types of Apsaras reside in the court of Lord Indra. But eleven types of them stand out among all: Kritasthali, Punjikasthala, Menaka, Rambha, Pramlocha, Anumlocha, Ghritachi, Varcha, Urvashi, Purvachitti and Tilottama. Each of those 1008 groups of Apsaras is made up of unmemorable nymphs. So the total number of Apsaras that exist is practically infinite.

There are no male individuals among the Apsaras and they are all completely female. They love contact with humans that is why they come when they are summoned. But they themselves would hardly initiate contact and only do so in special circumstances. Each type of Apsara is summoned through a different tantric method and it is our obligation to discover that method on our own.

But it often happens that when these nymphs are successfully summoned, they themselves transmit to us a simpler and more secret method to summon them in the future, without having to perform the complete ritual each time. New methods of summoning other nymphs and other secret knowledge can also be discovered through these Apsaras and they themselves can introduce you to many other beings from other worlds and take you to mysterious places that the human mind cannot even imagine.

Most nymphs can be accepted as wives, mothers or sisters. But what they like most is to be accepted as wives because that way they have the possibility of evolving from demigoddesses to goddesses. All this thanks to the energy they receive during sexual interaction from those who take them as wives.

But humans can also take advantage of marriage with an Apsara, since when they are married both stop being separate and become one person, so the person has the possibility of becoming a semi-divine being when leaving the
world of humans to continue their existence in the Apsara world if that is their wish.
