This nymph is known as the most lustful of all the Apsaras in Indra’s court. Her desire for sex is insatiable and it never runs out, which is why she is called “Kamechi” which means lustful. A sexual interaction with her can continue throughout the night. She is very fiery in bed and in the morning nail and tooth marks sometimes appear on the skin as a loving memory of Kamechi Apsara.
It would be difficult for a human to maintain the sexual rhythm of this goddess and only a very sexually active person should perform this ritual. But when she is satisfied she usually rewards her lover by fulfilling several of his wishes. The desire for wealth is the first one that Kamechi Apsara makes sure comes true. Furthermore, when she leaves just before dawn she usually leaves behind her dress and all of her luxurious jewelry. These objects can then be sold for large sums of money.
But people always tend to misunderstand this nymph, thinking of her as some kind of object to satisfy their sexual fantasies, which leads the ritual to failure. It has to be understood that even to summon very sex-loving spirits like Karna Pishachini or Kamechi Apsara, the first requirement is to banish lust from the mind. That is one of the paradoxes of magic.
