What are Yoginis?
Yoginis are semi-divine beings revered in Hinduism and Buddhism. Although the total number of Yoginis that exist is unknown, ancient texts speak of 64 groups of Yoginis and among them eight are the most prominent: Sur Sundari Yogini, Manohari Yogini, Kanakavati Yogini, Kameshwari Yogini, Rati Sundari Yogini, Padmini Yogini, Natini Yogini and Madhumati Yogini.
It is believed that Yoginis come from the goddess Kali and are an emanation of her. In fact, there are those who think that the Yoginis, being representations of Mother Kali, could keep as much power inside them as she does. That is the reason why Yoginis are on the list of the most powerful and feared semi-divine beings in Hinduism and Buddhism.
Like the Dakinis, the Yoginis are also in the most dangerous group of beings, taking into account that they represent the mother Kali, the most feared and violent deity of Hinduism.
Therefore, beginners without experience in Tantra Sadhana should refrain from summoning these beings. But it must be noted that apart from their dark side, Yoginis also have a sweet and charming side and are capable of providing unimaginable love and tenderness.
Furthermore, they are endowed with a totally incomparable divine beauty and both gods and mortals are captivated by their charms. The beauty of Yoginis is so irresistible to humans that many of them end up inevitably accepting them as wives when they present themselves with their sensual and semi-naked bodies composed of voluptuous curves and covered in exquisite jewelry. It is impossible to take your eyes off them and resist the desire to possess them.
The power of the Yoginis is such that they are practically capable of granting anything to the person who pleases them. Wealth, fame, longevity, supernatural powers and even immortality. In fact, whoever takes a Yogini as his wife begins to manifest the same powers and personality of the Yogini, since by marrying her both are no longer separate and become one being.
Furthermore, that person will have the opportunity to abandon his life on earth to continue his existence in the world of the Yoginis as a semi-divine being. But Yoginis also gain by marrying humans, since they have the opportunity to evolve from being demigoddesses to become goddesses. All this thanks to the energy they obtain during sexual interaction with their human partners.
Most Yoginis can be taken as mothers, wives or sisters but what they love is to be taken as wives. Although only unmarried people should accept a Yogini as a wife and must also undertake to never have sexual interaction with any other woman under penalty of death. For their part, women can accept Yoginis as mothers or sisters.
